In Sydney:-
A wonderful time was had by all at The Abyssinian Breeder 35th Anniversary Show on 27 October. Judges from South Africa, New Zealand, and Cats NSW Inc. judged at the show. This year, there was a change to the format, which consisted of 5 rings (3 all breed and 2 Aby/Somali specialty) with the three international judges allocating a Top 10 Best Aby/Somali Exhibits. The photos for the Top 10 Exhibits for those rings can be found on the 2019 Show page.
Best Aby/Somali Exhibit in Ring 1 was Gail & Mark Clignett's Tawny neuter, Dbl Gr Ch Akila Dark Sun (Cairocats Simply Red X Dbl Gr Ch Akila Anne's Legacy) shown in photo 1 [MN] with Gail & Mark. Also, Sunny was Best Group 3 Exhibit in all three all breed rings.
Ben & Wendy's Tawny male, Gr Ch Swift Taj Burrow (Gr Ch Merindalee Dustin Hoffman X Swift Aztec Rose), was Best Aby/Somali Exhibit in the other two rings. He is shown in photo 2 [JL] with Ben & Wendy. Also, Taj was awarded the Nile Memorial Award in memory of George Kennedy.
Supreme Kitten was Melissa Mitchell's Cinnamon female, WillowPark Polly Rocket (WillowPark Ina Blue Moon X WillowPark Spikey) bred by M. Mitchell; she is shown in photo 3 [JL] with Melissa. Runner-up to Supreme Kitten was Melissa's Blue female, WillowPark Bluebelle (WillowPark Ina Blue Moon X WillowPark Spikey), shown in photo 4 [MN].
Sarah Brook's Tawny Somali neuter, ACF Sil AoE, CCCA Ch & Emerald PN Shilabo Jupiter (Hons) (Ikati Reynard X Shilabo Quinn Pepper), was Supreme Desexed Cat and Supreme Somali Exhibit, and is shown in photo 5 [MN] with Sarah. Janet Chrobok's Tawny Somali male cat, Ch Shilabo Kokola (Ikati Reynard X Shilabo Lela Pepper), was R/U to Supreme Cat, and is shown in photo 6 [JL].
Supreme Abyssinian/Somali Cat & Supreme Abyssinian/Somali Exhibit was Ben & Wendy's Tawny male, Gr Ch Swift Taj Burrow (Gr Ch Merindalee Dustin Hoffman X Swift Aztec Rose), shown in photo 7 with Ben, Wendy and all the judges.

On the 27 October, at the 2-ring GCCFSA Spring Carnival Show, Lee Caldwell's Tawny female entire cat, Allerbeste Eva Peron (Dbl Gr Ch Merindalee Hugh Jackman X Ch Allerbeste Lili Marlene), was Best Group 3 Entire Cat in one ring (out of 19). Lee's Cinnamon neuter cat, Allerbeste All Fired Up (Dbl Gr Ch Merindalee Hugh Jackman X Dbl Gr Ch Allerbeste Lili Marlene), was Best Group 3 Desexed Cat in both rings (out of 19) and went on to be Supreme Group 3 Exhibit out of 51.

At the 3-ring QICC OZtober Show, on 13 October, Gail and Mark Clignett's Tawny neuter cat, Dbl Gr Ch Akila Dark Sun (Cairocats Simply Red X Dbl Gr Ch Akila Anne's Legacy), was Best SH Desexed Cat (out of 17) in one ring. He is shown below with Gail and judge, Denise Spurrell.

On the 13 October, at the SA Cat Breeders Association Show, Evelyn & Rita Bruche's Tawny Somali neuter, Vivace Beethoven (CCCA Ch & ACF AoE & Gold Gr Ch Vivace One Vision X Gr Ch Vivace Minerva), was Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat in one ring. Evelyn and Rita's Tawny neuter CCCA Ch, ACF AoE & Gold Gr Ch Vivace King Amonasro (CCCA Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Merindalee King For A Day X Vivace La Divina) was Best Group 3 Desexed Cat in the other ring. At the 4 ring Cool Country Club Show on 10 August, Kaylie Goodrick's Cinnamon Spay, ACF Gold AoE, CCCA Gr Ch, CCCA Nat Show Ch, Gold Ch & Opal PN Narleekatz Roxy (Dbl Gr Ch Osiris(V) Heart N Soul X Gold Dbl Gr Ch Nile Sunstone) was Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat in three of the four rings. She went on to be Best Group 3 Exhibit & Supreme All Breed Exhibit in Ring 2 (out of 66) under TICA judge, Kurt Vlach.

On 3 Aug, the Abyssinian and Somali Cat Club of Australia helds its 3-ring shorthair show with an extra ring for Aby and Somali exhibits. There were 19 Abyssinians & Somalis at the show. Ben & Wendy's Tawny female cat, Bronze Dbl Gr Ch Swift Dusty Rose (Gr Ch Merindalee Dustin Hoffman X Swift Aztec Rose) was Best Group 3 Female entire cat (out of 21) in one ring and Reserve in another. Dusty Rose is pictured below left. In the specialist ring, Michelle Lorenzi's Cinnamon female cat, Nericon Supa Nova (CCCA Gr Ch, Gr Ch, Vic Sil Gr Ch Merindalee Endeavour x Nile Petite Sirah), was Best Abyssinian Exhibit. Sarah Brooks' Tawny Somali neuter, ACF Silver AoE & CCCA Ch & Sapphire PN Shilabo Jupiter (Ikati Reynard X Shilabo Quinn Pepper), was Best Group 3 Desexed Cat in one ring and went on to be Best Group 3 Exhibit in that ring out of 41. At the Golden Awards Show on 7 July, Leo & Melissa's Tawny male cat, Vivace El Leon de Oro (CCCA Ch & ACF AoE & Gold Gr Ch Vivace One Vision X Ch Nile Panope), was Best Gr 3 Entire Cat (out of 29) in one ring. He is pictured below left. In the other ring, Evelyn and Rita Bruche's Tawny male kitten, Vivace Beau Brummell (Dushara The Quiet Gentleman (Imp DNK) X Ch Nile Panope), was Best Gr 3 Kitten in one ring and Supreme Kitten in Show (out of 40). Eileen & Karel Pittaway's Tawny female cat, Caircocats Chimera Of Arezzo (Merindalee Patrick Swayze X Cenglow Rhapsody In Blue), was Best Group 3 Cat in one ring (out of 9) and Reserve in the remaining rings. Lee Caldwell's Cinnamon male kitten, Allerbeste All Fired Up (Dbl Gr Ch Merindalee Hugh Jackman X Dbl Gr Ch Allerbeste Lili Marlene), was Best Group 3 Kitten in one ring (out of 16) and went on to be Supreme Kitten out of 41.

On 4 May, at the Royal Bathurst 3-ring show. Michelle Lorenzi's Tawny male kitten, Nericon Wallker (CCCA Tr Gr Ch & Dia Gr Ch Wyangan Chances R X Bronze Dbl Gr Ch Amahle Divine Miss M), was Best Group 3 Male kitten in Ring 1 & Ring 2 and he went on to be Best Group 3 Exhibit out of 28 in Ring 1. Michelle's Cinnamon female kitten, Nericon Supa Nova (CCCA Gr Ch & Vic Sil Gr Ch Merindalee Endeavour X Nile Petite Sirah), was Best Group 3 female kitten in Ring 3 and she went on to be Best Group 3 Exhibit out of 28 in that ring.

At the Sydney Royal Easter Championship Show on 21 April, Ben White and Wendy Newton's Tawny female kitten, Swift Ziggy Stardust (Cenglow Rapid X Ch Swift China Doll), was Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 33) under NZ judge, Paul Henry. Also, Ziggy was Best Group 3 Kitten Bred by Exhibitor. She is shown below.

The next day at the Patched and Pointed Cat Club Show, ACF Bronze AoE & CCCA Ch & Gold PN Shilabo Jupiter (Ikati Reynard X Shilabo Quinn Pepper), was Best Group 3 Desexed Cat (out of 3) in one ring.

The Federal Cat Club of Australasia helds its three ring kitten show on 23 February with 4 Aby kittens in attendance. Michelle Lorenzi's Cinnamon female kitten, Nericon Supa Nova (CCCA Gr Ch & Vic Sil Gr Ch Merindalee Endeavour X Nile Petite Sirah), was Best Group 3 female Kitten (out of 16) in one ring. She is pictured below. Carol Collins' Tawny female kitten, Johari Lubaya (Ch Tijah Shombay X Johari El Tango) was Best Group 3 female kitten in another ring and went on to be 3rd Best Kitten in Show (out of 49). Carol's Tawny male kitten, Johari Jet Stream (Ch Tijah Shombay X Gr Ch Tijah Tipperchina) was Best Group 3 male kitten (out of 11) in all 3 rings and went on to be 2nd Best Kitten in Show (out of 49).

The Burmese Cat Society of Australasia held its 3 ring Group 3 show on 10 March. Ben and Wendy's Tawny female kitten, Swift Ziggy Stardust (Cenglow Rapid X Swift China Doll), was Best Gr 3 Female Kitten in two rings and reserve in the remaining ring. "Ziggy" went on to be 3rd & 4th Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 61). She is pictured below with judge Hope Gonano (CFA USA).

On 2 March, the Goulburn A. P. & H. Society helds its 3-ring show. Michelle Lorenzi's Cinnamon female kitten, Nericon Supa Nova (CCCA Ch & Sil Gr Ch Merindalee Endeavour X Nile Petite Sirah), was Best Group 3 Female kitten in one ring (out of 7). Michelle's Tawny male cat, CCCA Ch & Sil Gr Ch Merindalee Endeavour (Gr Ch Merindalee Dumbledore X Merindalee Once Upon Atime), was Best Group 3 Male entire cat in all three rings and was Best Group 3 Exhibit in one of them (out of 21). Michelle's Blue female cat, Tijah Sing The Blues (Osiris(V) Krasivyy X Detrevande’s Poetry Justice (Imp EUR)), was Best Group 3 Female entire cat in one ring and was Best Group 3 Exhibit in that ring (out of 21). In Melbourne:-
At the FCCV 3 ring Summer Show on 24 February, Eileen & Karel Pittaway's Tawny female kitten, Caircocats Chimera Of Arezzo (Merindalee Patrick Swayze X Cenglow Rhapsody In Blue), was Best Group 3 Kitten in two rings and Reserve in the remaining ring. She went on to be Supreme Group 3 Exhibit (out of 22).
In Sydney:-
Cats NSW held its 3 ring Summer Show on 9 February and the Abys and one Somali performed very well. Suzie Hudson's Blue Somali neuter, Gold Dbl Gr Ch Nareira Whispering Jack (Gld Dbl Gr Ch Zabenka Champagne Charlie X Nareira Skylight Express), was Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat in two rings. He is shown in the lefthand photo. Ben & Wendy's Cinnamon neuter, ACF AoE & Gold Dbl Gr Swift Dr Pepper (Highgaitpaws Van Morrison (Imp USA) X Swift Soda Pop) was Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat in the remaining ring, and is shown in photograph 2.
Ben & Wendy's Tawny male, Ch Swift Taj Burrow (Gr Ch Merindalee Dustin Hoffman X Swift Aztec Rose), was Best Gr 3 Entire Cat in two rings and went on to be Best Group 3 Exhibit in one of them (out of 20). He is shown in the middle right photo.
Finally, Ben and Wendy's Tawny female kitten, Swift Ziggy Stardust (Cenglow Rapid X Swift China Doll), was Best Gr 3 Kitten in two rings and reserve in the remaining ring. "Ziggy" went on to be Best Gr 3 Exhibit in 2 rings and Supreme Exhibit in one of them (out of 55). She is pictured in the righthand photo.

At the GCCFV Valentine's Day 2 ring show on 10 February, Sarah Brooks' Tawny Somali neuter, ACF Bronze AoE & CCCA Ch & Gold PN Shilabo Jupiter (Ikati Reynard X Shilabo Quinn Pepper), was Best Group 3 Desexed Cat (out of 5) in one ring and reserve in the other. Janet Chrobok's Tawny Somali male kitten, Ikati Qani (Ikati Manzi X Glenmaulyn Bheki) was Best Gr 3 kitten in one ring (out of 6) and in that ring went on to be Best Group 3 Exhibit and Supreme Exhibit (out of 84). Qani is pictured below.
