Lee Caldwell's Tawny female cat, Gr Ch Allerbeste Lili Marlene (Willowpark Ina Blue Moon X Ch Allerbeste Clara Bow), was Best Group 3 Cat (out of 24) in one ring and Reserve in another. Lee's Tawny female kitten, Allerbeste Emily Bronte (Dbl Gr Ch Merindalee Hugh Jackman X Ch Allerbeste Clara Bow), was Best Group 3 Kitten in both rings (out of 16). She went on to be Supreme Group 3 Exhibit out of 58 and is pictured below.

Once again, the Royal Melbourne Show was a 5-ring affair held over two days on the 1 & 2 October. Sarah Brooks' Tawny Somali neuter, Dia Gr PN Shilabo Jupiter (Ikati Reynard X Shilabo Quinn Pepper), was Best Group 3 Desexed Cat in two rings and Reserve in another two. He went on to be Best Group 3 Exhibit (out of 22) in Ring 5.

The 3-ring Exotic Cat Club of Queensland show was held on 23 Sept. Chrissy Mangin's Tawny female kitten, Abysrok The Designated Survivor, (Osiris(V) Black Beauty X Abysrok Ashara Dayne), was Best SH Kitten (out of 15) in two rings.

At the FCCV Australian Cat Club Show on 16 September, Eileen & Karel Pittaway's Tawny male kitten, Merindalee Wildbout Harry (Merindalee Captains Call X Merindalee In The Mood), was Best Shorthair Kitten (out of 13) in two rings and went on to be Best Shorthair Exhibit in one of them out of 33. At the 4-ring QFA Flash Felines Show, on 9 September, there were 7 Abyssinian kittens in attendance and Jeanette Cook's Tawny male kitten, Cairocats Jackson (Cenglow Za Boss X Cairocats Mystic Sands), was Best SH Kitten (out of 26) in one ring. He went on to be Overall Best Shorthair Exhibit in that ring (out of 64) and shown below.

The Southern Highlands Forest Cat and All Breeds Club held its inaugural show on the 1 July 2018. Michelle Lorenzi's Tawny male, CCCA Dbl Gr Ch, Dia Dbl Gr Ch Wyangan Chances R, was Best Gr 3 Entire Cat (out of 7) in all 3 rings. He was also 9th Best All Breed Cat in Show.

Lee Caldwell's Tawny female kitten, Allerbeste Emily Bronte (Dbl Gr Ch Merindalee Hugh Jackman X Ch Allerbeste Clara Bow), was Best Group 3 Kitten in one ring (out of 47). She is pictured below left with Lee. Lisa Rhyne's Tawny Somali spay, Vivace Amali (Gold Gr Ch Vivace One Vision X Vivace Dolce Aphrodite) was Best Group 3 Desexed Cat in one ring (out of 20).

There were almost 170 exhibits at the 4-ring Federal Cat Club show on 16 June and the Abys performed very well. Michelle Lorenzi's 14-week-old Blue female, Tijah Sing The Blues (Osiris(V) Krasivyy X Detrevande's Poetry Justice (Imp EUR)) was Best Baby Kitten. She is shown below left. Ben and Wendy's Tawny male kitten, Johari Samburu (Zahari Easy Rider X Gld Dbl Gr Ch Nile Sangria), was Best Gr 3 Male Kitten and Best Gr 3 Entire Kitten (out of 27) in one ring and reserve in all the remaining rings. Ben & Wendy's Tawny male, Swift Taj Burrow (Gr Ch Merindalee Dustin Hoffman X Swift Aztec Rose), was Best Gr 3 Male Cat in one ring and reserve in another (out of 11). He is shown in photo 4. In one of those rings, "George" was also Best Gr 3 Exhibit and Supreme Shorthair Exhibit out of 34.

In NSW :-

On 14 April, at the Royal Bathurst 3-ring show. Michelle Lorenzi's Tawny male cat, CCCA Ch & Sil Gr Ch Merindalee Endeavour (Gr Ch Merindalee Dumbledore X Merindalee Once Upon Atime), was Best Group 3 Male entire cat in two rings and runner-up in the other. In Ring 3, he went on to be Best Group 3 Exhibit out of 23.

Kaylie Goodrick's Cinnamon spay, ACF Sil AoE, CCCA Ch, CCCA Nat Sh Ch, Gld Ch & Golden PN Narleekatz Roxy (Dbl Gr Ch Osiris(V) Heart N Soul X Gold Ch Nile Sunstone) was Best Shorthair Desexed Cat (out of 12) in one ring and Reserve in another. Roxy went on to be Supreme Shorthair Exhibit (out of 50) in Ring 3. Roxy is pictured below.

The Canberra Royal Cat Show was held on 24 & 25 February. Michelle Lorenzi's Tawny male cat, CCCA Ch & Sil Gr Ch Merindalee Endeavour (Gr Ch Merindalee Dumbledore X Merindalee Once Upon Atime), was Best Shorthair Entire Cat in all three rings and Best Shorthair Exhibit (out of 19) in one ring. On the 18 February, at the FASA 3-ring Summer show, Lee Caldwell's Tawny male cat Osiris(V) Joy's Legend (Osiris(V) The Legend X Osiris(V) Tears Of Joy), was Best Group 3 Entire Cat (out of 21) in all three rings and Supreme Exhibit in Show (out of 129). The Federal Cat Club of Australasia helds its three ring kitten show on 17 February with 6 Aby kittens in attendance. Suzanne Hatcher's Tawny male kitten, Tijah Encounter (Osiris(V) Tropical Australia X Tijah Midnight Romance), was Best Group 3 male Kitten (out of 16) in one ring.

At the GCCFV Valentine's Day 2 ring show on 11 February, Sarah Brooks' Tawny Somali neuter, Diamond Gr PN Shilabo Jupiter (Ikati Reynard X Shilabo Quinn Pepper), was Best Group 3 Desexed Cat (out of 13) and Best Group 3 Exhibit (out of 25) in Ring 2.
