In Brisbane:-
The 4-ring ANCATS show, on 20 Nov, was the last show of the year in Brisbane. Michael and Sue Shawn's Tawny male, Osiris(V) Versace, (Osiris(V) Hearts Perfection X CCCA Ch, ACF AoE, QFA Plat Dbl Gr Ch, CQ Plat Dbl Gr Ch Osiris(V) Elizabeth Arden), did extremely well, starting off with Best All-breed Kitten (out 21) in all four rings, and going on to Best All-breed Exhibit (out of 43) in two rings and R/U to Best All-breed Exhibit in the other two rings. His winnings appear in the photo below, and if you look carefully, you will even see Versace himself.
In Melbourne
At FCCV's last 2016 show, their 2-ring Christmas Show on 20 November, Eileen & Karel Pittaway's Tawny male, Gr Ch Merindalee Endeavour (Gr Ch Merindalee Dumbledore X Merindalee Once Upon Atime), finished the year in style. He was Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 14) and Supreme Exhibit (out of 65) in one ring, and R/U to Best Gr 3 Cat in the other ring..He is shown below. Also, because of a shortage of Gr 2 cats, groups 2 and 3 are being re-combined into a Shorthair Group from next year.

The last show in Sydney for 2016, the desexed Cat Club show, was held on 12 November. Debbie Thomas's Tawny Somali neuter, CCCA Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Joylincar Tyler (WA Gr Ch Badina's Orion of Joylincar (Imp DNK) X Makeitso Minuet (Imp UK) ) was Best Gr 3 Neuter Cat (out of 13) in one ring, and is shown below left. At her "farewell" show, George & Julie Kennedys' Tawny spay, CCCA Dia TGC & Dia DGC Nile Holly Ghost (Nat Show Ch, CCCA Tpl Gr Ch & Dia Dbl Gr Ch Nile Phantom Of Hope X Dbl Gr Ch Osiris(V) Sioux City Sue), was Best Gr 3 Spay (out of 13) and Best Gr 3 exhibit (out of 28) in one ring ; she is shown below right.

SHCBA 4-ring Show on 16 August. Kirsten young's Tawny female, Zahari Million Stars (Ch Zahari Ride The Lightnin' X Zahari Sahara Star) was Best SH Kitten (out of 9) in two rings. She is shown below with judge Roy Griffiths.

At the Crazy Capers Show on 30 October, Evelyn & Rita Bruche's Tawny Somali male, Gold Dbl Gr Ch Vivace One Vision (Ch Dushara Frank My Way (Imp DNK) X Vivace Fire And Brimstone) was Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 17) one ring, and is shown below left with judge Fiona Hawkins. A Tawny female owned by a non-subscriber, Allerbeste Clara Bow, was Best Gr 3 Cat in the other ring. Evelyn & Rita's Tawny neuter, CCCA Ch, ACF AoE & Supr Dbl Gr Ch Vivace King Amonasro (CCCA Ch & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Merindalee King For A Day X Vivace La Divina) was Best Gr 3 Desexed Cat (out of 21) in both rings and Best Overall Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 60) in one of them; he appears below right.
At Bateau Bay:-
Just over an hour's drive north of Sydney, The Central Coast Cat Club held its 3-ring show on 30 October. Among the kittens, Tracey Jack's well-performed, about to be neutered and re-homed Tawny male Tawny male, Amahle Moves Like Jagger (Osiris(V) Angel Dust X Nile Panope), who was Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 14) and is shown below left with incoming owner Nat Jefferson. Her other Tawny male, Osiris(V) Boomerang (Osiris(V) Blue Spot X Dbl Gr Ch Osiris(V) Ozzie Ozzie) did likewise in in another ring; he is shown below 2nd from left. Abys did well, starting with Tracey Jack's Tawny male, Amahle Moves Like Jagger (Osiris(V) Angel Dust X Nile Panope), who was was Best Gr 3 Male Kitten (out of 11) and went on to be Best Overall Gr 3 Kitten (out of 22) and 3rd Overall Exhibit in Show (out of 121) . There were only two Abys - and no Somalis - at the 5-ring Royal Melbourne Show on26/27 September, both Merindalee males, one of whom did well and the other even better That was CCCA Gr Ch Dia Gr Ch Merindalee Harrison Ford (CCCA Gr Ch & Sapph Dbl Gr Ch Merindalee Fortune Teller X Merindalee Demi Moore) was Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 16) in one ring, and went on to be Supreme Exhibit (out of 120) in that ring. They ran a 4-ring show this year, on 17 September, and Tracey Jack's Tawny male, Amahle Moves Like Jagger (Osiris(V) Angel Dust X Nile Panope) did well in all of them. He was Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 14) in all four rings, Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 43) in two of them, and overall 4th Exhibit (out of 120) un show. He appears below.

Michelle Lorenzi's Tawny male, Wyangan Chances R, was best Gr 3 Cat (out of 21) and Best Gr 3 Exhibit (out of 59) in one of the all-breed rings. For the first time that I can recall, no Aby or Somali was best kitten, cat or desexed cat in Gr 3 in any of the six rings of the CCCA National Show. The best performed were local boy, Evelyn & Rita Bruche's Tawny neuter, Gold Dbl Gr Ch Vivace King Amonasro, who was 2nd Gr 3 Neuter (out of 36) in two rings, and Eileen & Karel Pittaway's Tawny male, Merindalee Endeavour, who was 3rd Gr 3 Cat (out of 89) in one ring.

In Brisbane:-
At the 3-ring QFA State Show on 28 February, Michael & Sue Shawn's Tawny female, Osiris(V) Perfect Rose (CH Osiris(v) Ralph Lauren X Gr Ch Osiris(V) Roses Are Pink) was Best SH Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 36) in two rings, and went on to be Best SH Exhibit (out of 65) in both rings. You can see her below, with NZCF judge Jane Slabbert.
In Melbourne:-
At the 2-ring FCCV Kitten and Neuter show on 28 February, Eileen & Karel Pittaway's Cinnamon female kitten, Cenglow Ray Of Sunshine (Fin Bheara's Thunder Bay (Imp USA) X Cenglow Circle Of Song) was Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 30) in one ring. She went on to be Supreme Exhibit (out of 103) and is shown below left. Among the desexed cats, Kaylie Goodrick's Tawny Neuter, Gr Pr Narleekatz Bazinga (Johari Zambezi X Osiris(V) Sweet Influence), was Best Desexed Cat (out of 7) in one ring and went on to be Supreme Desexed Exhibit (out of 34); he appears below right.
In Perth:-
At the 2-ring Oriental Cat Club show on 21 February, Carole Carroll's Tawny female, Joylincar Frankie Fell In Love (Gr Ch Joylincar Heart Of Dreams X Brz Dbl Gr Ch Joylincar Tammys In Love) was Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 14) in both rings, and went on to be Best Gr 3 Exhibit in one of them. Carole's Tawny Aby female, Jodaerin Gift Of Song (Ch Windsong Savuti X Jodaerin Irish Heartbeat), was Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 14) in one ring and R/U in the other. No photos have yet been provided.
In Adelaide:-
At the two-ring FASA Summer Show on 21 February, Evelyn & Rita Bruche's Tawny Somali male, Dbl Gr Ch Vivace One Vision (Ch Dushara Frank My Way (Imp DNK) X Vivace Fire And Brimstone) was Best Gr 3 Cat (out of 21), and is shown below being judged. The Bruches' CCCA Ch, ACF AoE & Gold Dbl Gr Ch Merindalee King For A Day (CCCA Gr Ch & Sapph Ch Merindalee Fortune Teller X Cenglow Elle Macpherson), was R/U Gr 3 Cat in the other ring.
In Sydney:-
At the 4-ring Federal Kitten Show on 31 January, Sue Hatcher's Tawny female, Tijah Kirabo (Tijah Monkey N Around X Tijah Cinque Terre) was Best Gr 3 Female Kitten (out of 20), and Best Gr 3 Kitten (out of 36) in one ring; she is shown below left. Michelle Lorenzi's Tawny male kitten, Wyangan Chances R (Gold Dbl Gr Ch Wyangan Phantom Chances X Nile Petite Syrah) was Best Gr 3 Male Kitten (out of 16) in three rings and Best Gr 3 Kitten in one of them. His photo appears below right.
